Dept 56 Christmas in the City Village EMPIRE STATE BUILDING. This is the empire state building for the Department 56 collection. The building top lights up and changes color by the press of a button (see attached photos). Building appears in very good condition. Does not come with flags. The box is worn (see attached photos). The spotlights on the sides of the building work as well. Box is included but has wear and some tears. Introduced 2003 and retired in December 2005. It features several holiday lighting effects, including blueish/white, green and red colors in detachable top section that operate each color on or off on a 4 position pushbutton switch. There are 2 large white interior building bulbs and 8 yellow spotlights located around the top part of the building and shine up to illuminate the exterior. Top needle still has both pegs (see attached photo). These have been known to break off with wear.
