Department 56 Christmas In The City Flatiron Building NEW
The “Flatiron Building” is an icon to New York City, recognized by millions around the world. This porcelain recreation has the characteristic triangular footprint of the building and the elaborate cornice at the top. This building was designed and manufactured exclusively by Department 56 for the Christmas In The City® Series. The Flatiron Building was introduced in December 2006 and was retired in December 2010. Celebrating some of the nation’s most famous urban landmarks, Department 56’s Christmas in the City includes high-rises, restaurants, ballparks, and lively street scenes to take viewers on a fun and nostalgic American tour. New York’s Flatiron Building joins the cityscape with its distinctive triangular shape executed in exceptionally realistic detail, from handsome cornice roofline to the sculpted stone columns to the red awnings at street level. Illuminated from within so all the windows glow with warm light, the snow-dotted ceramic building looks especially inviting during the wintry holiday season. There’s also a removable wreath and garland for decorating. Flatiron measures 9-1/2 inches long by 3-3/4 inches wide by 14 inches high and includes a light cord.
