Up for your consideration is a very hard to find. Department 56 Christmas in the City. #59204 lighted building called “Central Synagogue” which was limited to 2003 production. This beautiful, historical Central Synagogue is located at 56th and Lexington in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The synagogue was designed in the “Moorish” style in 1872. It has two majestic 122′ towers which dominate the front of the synagogue, and each is crowned with a copper dome supporting a star. Above the main entrance is a large rose window, surrounded by many smaller arched windows. And as with all Department 56 buildings no details were sparred. Extensive research contributes to the charm and detail of each hand painted porcelain piece. The building measures 7.75″ x 8.75″ x 10.75. It comes in its original styrofoam box and Department 56 sleeve which does show some wear and tear. The two spires and the light cord with bulb are also enclosed. Robin’s Vintage Finds.
