Retired in 1992 Was a Numbered Limited Edition of 3024 pieces instead of the announced 17,500 : production ceased after 6 1/2 months. Due to production problems with this piece. 3 separate molds were used; The size made it susceptible to warping, breakage and firing problems. Originally conceived for Dickens’ Village but was too large. A pristine piece like this one with no flaws, Cracks or waring and in its original packaging is extremely valuable. For your consideration from the Department 56 Christmas in the City series, Cathedral Church of Saint Mark’s limited edition number 754 out of a potential 17500. This item is mint in box I’m not really sure if it’s ever had been displayed or if I bought it new or used it does not seem to have been used, if it was it was merely once. The light cord is still tightly wrapped and its plastic bag behind the church in the styrofoam box. I did not notice any flaws with this item it is in great condition. As you know with the Cathedral Church of Saint Mark’s they had some production run issues and they never achieve their 17500 pieces, it was more like 3000 I think I don’t recall the number off the top of my head so this is truly their lease run production item of the whole Department 56 Village lines (behind the mill of course). The box is in really good shape there’s some corner crumpling there’s some small tears I noted the largest one on the pictures everything else is in great condition great addition to your Christmas in the City display. Please see pictures were more details on condition as they are part of the description also. Check back often I will be listing my huge personal collection of all Dept 56 items, over 500 buildings, 1000’s of accessories, Dolls. All types of Ornaments, CCP’s, Merry Makers, Winter Silhouette, plus a lot of proofs, sales samples, very limited items from the 80’s. I may not have the best price all the time but my description will fit what the item is to the best of my ability, that ability includes being a collector of Department 56 since 1987, very knowledgeable on all the variations and special designs of the items that were made of early House’s and accessories. On roof (almost like they used a liquid snow and this was the overspray). Original Styrofoam Box: Present in Good Condition.
