56 Cathedral of St Paul Anniversary Event Dickens Village. Christmas In The City Piece “Cathedral Of Saint Paul” from Department 56. Item #: 56.58919. This is a 25 years of tradition Anniversary Event Edition Piece. The Cathedral Of Saint Paul has been a familiar silhouette, dominating the St Paul, Minnesota skyline since the early 20th century. After yrs of Minnesota winters, this landmark, based on St Peter’s in Rome, is about to undergo a massive restoration, including replacement of the 87 year old copper dome. This piece has the extremely limited edition COPPER DOME/roof; not the green roof edition. When lit, the stained glass window is beautiful. No Chips or Cracks or Marks. Outer Sleeve has some wear. Black sleeve shows a little wear. 2 SIGNATURES OF ARTISTS ON THE BOTTOM, PLEASE SEE PICTURES. HE ATTENDED THE 2001 DEPT 56 25TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION CONFERENCE. THERE ARE 2 ARTIST SIGNATURES ON THE BOTTOM. BOTH OF THEM SIGNED THIS PIECE AT THAT CONFERENCE. ONE OF THE SIGNATURES IS NEILAND LUND. Department 56 Christmas in the City. This piece has the beautiful copper roof that is hard to find. It was only available to dealers at the Dept 56 25th Anniversary celebration in 2001, which I attended. It’s not overstating it to say the lighted cathedral has stunningly beautiful details. Date: Introduced in 2001, retired in 2001. Sizes: 12″ wide and 11 1/5″ wide. Condition: New, never displayed. Only out of the box to take photographs. Comes in its original box and sleeve, which has average shelf wear. One corner has a 3″ tear and another corner of the sleeve has a 3″ tear. Comes from my now-closed gift shop, a non-smoking environment. Very careful packing and fast, friendly customer service guaranteed.
