Department 56 Christmas in the City Cathedral Church of St. Introduced in December 1991, this piece was retired in January of 1993. Production was limited to 17,500pcs. This one is number 1795. This number can be found on the outer sleeve and the underside of the piece. The church measures almost 9″ tall and about 9″ square. Light cord/bulb is tested and working. Comes with original packaging. Please note: The trees shown in the 1st photo are not included. This piece is in very good used condition. There are no chips or cracks. There’s some type of mark on the roof. Please see last photo. This may be from rubbing inside the foam insert. Department 56 Christmas in the City. This piece has the beautiful copper roof that is hard to find. It was only available to dealers at the Dept 56 25th Anniversary celebration in 2001, which I attended. It’s not overstating it to say the lighted cathedral has stunningly beautiful details. Date: Introduced in 2001, retired in 2001. Sizes: 12″ wide and 11 1/5″ wide. Condition: New, never displayed. Only out of the box to take photographs. Comes in its original box and sleeve, which has average shelf wear. One corner has a 3″ tear and another corner of the sleeve has a 3″ tear. Comes from my now-closed gift shop, a non-smoking environment. Very careful packing and fast, friendly customer service guaranteed.
