I bought this building brand new from Amazon just a few months ago. It has only been out of the box to inspect and take photos. It has never been displayed and is in brand new condition. From Department 56’s Christmas In The City collection. A New York City German Restaurant, located near Union Station in the East Village, that, at the turn of the 20th century, was the place to eat, drink good German beer and be seen. It was a favorite of many well-known musicians. Please take care to only handle by the solid porcelain sections of the building. Brand new in box. It may have been removed and inspected by the retail dealer. This process was more important years ago when the items were not packed as well; however, habits persist. Box / sleeve with minimal shelf wear unless otherwise noted. We recently received almost the entire Christmas in the City, Alpine Village, North Pole, Disney Parks Village series and other Dept 56 villages from a former dealer and serious collector who took great pride in her collection. In order to list as many pieces as quickly as possible, we may just show the box/sleeve in the photos. We absolutely promise that all buildings and accessories list are in perfect, working condition with all separate attachments included.
